2023 Activities
The Temple and Family History committee is working on a series of activities for the ward that are centered on helping us include temple attendance and participation in family history in our routines. Every month we will have an activity for each individual to complete. As each individual completes an activity, see a member of the Temple and Family History Committee for a leaf for our tree.
Along with each month’s activity a leaf can be earned each month for attending the temple for ward temple night. We have chosen a regular ward temple night on the third Thursday of the month between 5pm-8pm. During your time in the temple, you may perform any ordinance for our ward temple night. For those without a temple recommend, take a trip to the temple grounds and take a moment to feel the spirit. We recognize that this time may not work for all individuals, and hope that you will find an alternate time during the month to attend. November
Show gratitude for your ancestors. During the month of November, find three ways to show your thanks for your ancestors. Some things this could include leaving flowers at a gravesite, sharing a story you are grateful for, or doing temple ordinances for ancestors.
For previous month’s activities see here.
Reopening of Temples
Temples are now open! During phase three of reopening, appointments are required, however it is easy to schedule. Follow the instructions in the video to book an appointment. While it is recommended to book an appointment at the Oquirrh Mountain temple, you can book an appointment at any phase three temple.
